EASTER MAKERS FAIR, THE SHOREHAM CENTRE

Updated: Apr 25

Yesterday I had a stall at the Easter Makers Fair at The Shoreham Centre, hosted by the lovely folks at Paper Daisy Events. I hadn't been here before so it was exciting to see how I would fare.

The event ran from 10am to 3:30pm and featured around 80 talented makers. There was truly something for everyone—face painting, interactive art activities, creative workshops, and a delightful café, all alongside an impressive variety of stalls.

From the moment the doors opened, the footfall was steady and strong—always a promising sign when you’re a stallholder! My table was next to Jo from Marzilicious, whose marzipan creations were absolutely incredible. Her stall attracted plenty of attention, and I couldn’t resist taking home a pack of her adorable marzipan hot cross buns.

In preparation for the fair, I designed two new Father’s Day cards (you can never be too organised), and I was so pleased with how well they were received—they will be available in my shop shortly.

There were a few quieter moments throughout the day, but nothing compared to other markets I’ve done. The gorgeous spring weather likely helped and with it being Easter weekend, people were out and about right through to the end. My first sale was at 10:10am and my last at 3:20pm, so it really was a full day of visitors.

I had hoped to bring some new bookmarks to this market, but with one thing and another, they didn’t quite materialise in time. I’m aiming to have them ready for my next event: the Chichester Craft & Gift Market on 3rd May 2025, held at the Assembly Rooms from 10am to 4pm.

All in all, it was a fantastic venue with a wonderful turnout. A brilliant day filled with creativity, community, and connection—there really was something for everyone.
